I have seen that people put some kind of bracing behind their urethane air dams on their cars so that they don't flex at high speeds, often for pretty cheap. Anyone have any pics of what this looks like? I am not sure how to start or where to attach it to. I could figure it out from a pic of the setup.

Back in the old days people sometimes put curb feelers on their car down low near the tires to make a sound to let them know when they were near the curb when parking. I see them for sale on eBay and Amazon, but is there such a thing for an air dam? I have run into parking lot tire stops and not just with the Z. Maybe a curb feeler could be modified to work with an air dam? I imagine it would have to be at an angle so it doesn't get jammed straight back and cause damage to the air dam. Any ideas appreciated.

I'm new to 280z car. I love z car. I had 1978 280z strip down. Now i need to order a front bumper (air dam) for my 280z. I like to get the one with the front bumper (air dam) with the chrome across. I found one on the z store but i think it look different. Z owner please tell me where to order I will be very appreciate. Thank you

Hi, so I have had my 280Z now for about 2 weeks and I've been looking into changing the bumpers and some other minor things. I already ordered some MSA headlight covers and some new springs/struts. I was wondering what kind of bumper/air dam options I have for a '77 280z? I've been searching since the day I bought it and all I can seem to find is 240/260 parts =( Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jake. Beginning. (My Z the day I bought it) I'm looking for bumpers like these, and a kit like in this picture or the one below it.

Attached is an article I scanned in from a May 1974 Car and Driver. They measured the drag and downforce of different spoilers and air dams on a 240Z, and even provide performance and fuel economy improvement numbers. Very good stuff for those who are wondering whether they should add aerodynamic aids to their Zs. For example, a non-ducted Spook is a pretty good add on, as others have noted from their own experience.
