Hi Z friends! I would like to find an original working power antenna for my 72 240z. I need all parts if possible. I have tried aftermarket antennas and either don't like the look or have had trouble making them work with my up/down switch on my original a.m./f.m. Stereo. Anyone out there have a working antenna they have replaced and no longer have a need for? Ok Z pals... Do your thing, my girl is missing hearing her music! Thanks! K The lil z lady

Looking for these parts in good used working condition. Hope you can help! If you are parting out your1972 and can help with the list below, it would be much appreciated! Updated 4/15 Thanks to many forum members, I've been educated! Parts removed have either been found, advised to buy new, or found not to be needed! Forum members, You guys ROCK! Still needed, see below: 1) 240 horn pad and/ or the spring and mechanism behind it. 3) Antenna working ( including mast) -May have option here, but if you have one in good condition, send photos. 4) White interior pieces ( back panels and left side panel.) 5) R12 coolant refills i think that's it for now. If you happen to have any of those items please let me know, and p.m. me with photos and price. Have a persimmon (#101) 72 240 with white interior that's in great shape, but trying to upgrade weak areas, and keep her as original as possible. This was a father/daughter project that I'm trying to finish after it was derailed by life and health issues. Back on the case now, and ready to get the little lady rolling again! Thanks Z friends! Appreciate any assistance! Kira The lil z lady

I know the antenna mast has been covered in many threads but I have a question that is probably to simple to mention and I do not want to get it wrong because these things are irreplaceable. I want to know what stops the aerial mast when it is in the fully extended or retracted position. The end is connected to the drum using a splitpin, if the winder keeps going then would the plastic cord not snap or is it strong enough to stop the drum from turning? Like most people my mast has snapped some time back on my 1970 240z. I pulled it from the car to replace the mast with an exact NOS replacement (on Ebay about 5 years ago if your wondering). The motor in the antenna is pristine, no dust or dirt and looks almost new. I removed the old broken mast and aerial. I have then threaded the new mast into the guide and around the drum, but the hole for the split pin which holds the end of the mast to the drum is in the wrong location from where I last stopped the winder. Therefore should I fully extend the aerial and simply connect the end where the splitpin is currently located and let the winder do the rest or wind it to a set location and then connect the mast? Hope this makes sense.
