I opened a diff I just got with a lot of parts and it has the following stamped markings on the ring gear: 35 X A C 5 - 11 Anyone have a clue as to the ratio?

Hello all, Getting ready to take the plunge and swap the 4 speed trans and diff from an '83 280zx non-turbo to my '75 280z. From everything I've read this is the desirable swap for the stock 280z. Better than the late 70's 5 speed setup. Setup was removed from a running car with 100k+ miles. Differential is the R200 with 3.90 ratio. Any things I should watch out for with the swap? I plan on changing seals in the trans and diff before installation. Should I completely rebuild the trans while out of the car, eg syncros or gears? For the trans tear down is the process straight forward any unusual things to be careful with? I have rebuilt many engines, trans both manual and auto for GM's (and other domestics) but this will be my first import. Thanks!

I couldnt find anything that described what I have just the usual clunk at changing gears typical of a bad mount. I have an early 1971 Datsun 240z with a 4 speed manual built in 1/71. All original to my knowledge. Besides the clunk at accel and decel (front diff mount that is no longer in production) I also have a loud clunking/rattle when i let go of the gas over 60mph then goes away under 60mph. Sounds like somebody with 2 hammers hitting the bottom of the car rapidly. When I have it up on jack stands it does the same on 2nd and 4th gear at idle. its louder on the drivers side wheel for some reason.. Quieter without the wheels. when i hold the drivers side wheel and let the passenger side spin away (yes its an open diff) it still makes the same loud clank on the drivers same if i hold the passenger side wheel. still louder on the drivers side.. and also jerks at the wheel when holding it.. Bad Diff?

Hey guys, name's Dylan, I got a 78 280z 2+2 for christmas, just thought I'd say hey! also, I've been trying to find out what rear diff is in my car? I'm having issues ha yes I know there are forums galore on this, but I wonder because it says that 280s with manuals had the r200 with like 3.54s or something like that... but nothing is said about the 2+2 and honestly, I think the gearing would be lower because at 75 I'm revving on the top side of 3500. sorry if this is a nuisance, but I am just curious.
