I've had several people tell me, and have seen it mentions in several other Floor Pan post, that it is recommend to installing support bracing before starting the floor pan replacement, in order to keep everything in place and square during the process. What I haven't been able to ascertain is where the bracing should go, and how to you install it so it doesn't interfere with the installation. I plan to do one side at a time. Help and recommendations are greatly appreciated (73 240Z).

Just went to the shop where my 1972 240z is being painted and found that beneath the carpet and over the floor pans there is some type of rotten carpet. Can anyone identify this type of carpet and if it consists of a road sound deadener? Isnt there a more modern approach of any other material to replace them after the floors are primed, protected with POR 15 and painted?

Hi, so my passenger side floor pans is much worse than i originally expected, I know all about the zedd findings ones but their prices are a tad steep. I found a company on ebay that sells them for about $134+free shipping, has anyone tried these? 1970 74 Nissan Datsun Floor Pan Passenger Side | eBay I know you get what you pay for so I wanted to ask before purchasing, thanks!

Just want to thank the folks on this site for suggesting Charlie @ Zedd Findings. I ordered floor pans from him, received them less than a week later. The pans have the same plug holes, bends, stamps as the original. In addition, he was great to deal with, very helpful. Hap

Hey there, I'm a young guy with a datsun 280z in my garage, have done tons of work, including frame rails from the firewall foreward, along with alot of bodywork and much more, I built up a 305 to drop in, anyway, wanted some input on the engine mounts/rear end work needed, along with brake ideas, and suspension!!! Oh yeah should i buy the floor pan kit, or just bang out some sheet metal and patch in the rust wholes in my floor? anyway, money is limited, but i have about 5 grand i want to put into it over the next couple years.. its very much a side project but i want it to get on the front burner.. Cheers Jeff
