I have cleaned the corrosion off of the wires leading into my fusible links on several occasions and they still turn green with corrosion no matter what I do to them. Would upgrading to maxi fuses help this problem or do I need to replace part of if not all of the wiring harness? Car wants to turn over but will not start, replaced the fuel pump and checked the fuel pump relay. Always had a problem with my fusible links, but I let my car sit for over a year so now I can't exactly figure out whats wrong with it and I have nothing else to drive. Please help....

A few nights ago I was driving my 1974 260Z home and my lights started to dim, windshield wipers started to slow, and my engine began to choke. At first I thought it was just my battery. So I had my battery jumped and it wouldn't hold a charge. I automatically assumed it was my alternator after checking all my fuses. I replaced the alternator and charged my battery. I was able to drive it for about 45mins. I went home, woke up the next morning, checked the belts and such, and drove it around the block to make sure all was going smoothly. It seemed okay. Once I turned the car off and went back to start it up again it wouldn't start. Any help or advice anyone has to offer would be greatly appreciated. If there is any information I left out please let me know! Thanks in advance! -Joseph

I'm new here. Have found this site useful in the past and hope that I can draw on this pool of knowledge. After registering I found there is much more to enjoy. My 77 280 needed a few things taken care of before I felt comfortable putting it on the market. I procrastinated the last thing..the brake warning light never went off. I checked the ebrake switch, leaks, pressure differential switch and bled the brakes. The last thing could fathum trying was the relay under the passenger seat. I unplugged it and the light went off, only now it won't come on and my oil pressure and fuel guage stopped working? It blows the fuel guage fuse! Is the relay under the seat connected to the guages or is this a strange coincidence? Additionally, since I unplugged the relay the white charge light stays on in the voltmeter..? The ebrake light will not come and the fuse blows with the relay connected or not. The electrical worked fine except for the brake warning light before I disconnected that relay. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. :disappoin
