So I drew out some templates today for the cardboard pieces that go on the rear strut towers under the diamond pattern vinyl. I posted them in pdf and dwg. One of them is larger than 8 1/2 x 11 240z cardboard strut tower.dwg strut tower carboard1.pdf strut tower cardboard2.pdf

I need your advice regarding my '72 240Z. Can't get either of my front end strut inserts out of their strut housing after I removed the gland nut. They should just slip out. They do not. Perhaps they are rusted in? I've saturated them in penetrant, heated the housings with a propane torch, tapped the housings with a hammer, and of course pulled on 'em like crazy. Got any ideas for me, please?

Good Morning, a new issue showed it ugly face after I installed new wheels. When from 15x7 to 15x8 and now R/F tire rubs bumper when turning left. I have read that nissan designed R/F caster to lead a little , but this is too much. Can this be adjusted? Also noticed that left front wheels poke is more that right side by 8mm. Any suggestions? Has anyone adjusted subframe for this reason. No frame damage is apparent

Hi everyone, I've read that the tokico rear illumina struts are the same thing as the front, but just have a short piece of tubing at the bottom that lengthens them just a bit. To anyone who's installed some tokico struts and dealt with the spacer- what is the proper length of the spacer so that the struts sit at the proper height? I'm picked up two pairs of front struts and am planning on just making the small spacer myself. Has anyone done that? I'm wondering what size tubing to buy and the proper length to cut it. If anyone has any advice, please let me know.

I am doing my dead level best to make my Early 260 into a boulevard cruiser. It is a hybrid, with a mild, 350-350 chev, I have queit matted, 4 mufflers, two glass paks up front and two turbos out the rear with 2 1/2 pipes and a X pipe. Drone is manageble. Driveshaft is aligned. (major good! vibe stopper) All wheel bearings disassembled and greased, with new parts as needed. new rubber (stock) suspension parts, No Urethane anywhere, and all parts replaced. New tie rod ends, ball joints, complete brakes with new rotors, shoes, etc. This car is pretty smooth. BUT! it still has an anoying vibration that you can primarily just feel in your arse, or through the seat. I pulled the struts out during the rebuild, I don't know what they are, but they were stamped "Made in Venezula", they felt good, so I put em back in. I was feeling kinda poor about then due to all the other parts, so I took a short cut. Anyway, I have decided to repalce all the struts with new. I am not going to shortcut this time, pulling struts is a pain in the arse and I ain't doin this again!! My question. Looks like strut mounts are at least 57.00 or so apiece, best price. Mine look good but they are 40 years old. Does the rubber go bad? Will it make a diff? Anybody been here before? What is the absolute best strut for a creamy smooth ride? Thanks!!!
