So my driveshaft on my 260 makes a noise when at high speeds I take my foot off the accelerator. Basically if I am punching it and say OK - fast enough and stop the acceleration and then are coasting with no torque to the drive shaft it makes this same noise it is making in this video, just much more, louder etc. it sounds like the driveshaft is gonna come up through the floor- maybe that's an exaggeration but you get the idea. Is that amount of play in the driveshaft correct? I replaced the universals a while back , doesn't seems like they are part of the play , it seems like either the transmission or the Differental.IMG_4827.MOV Any thoughts?

View Advert L24 Engine & Transmission - For sale I have a spare L24 engine & transmission that I would like to sell. My restro. https://www.classiczcars.com/profile/10812-crshowers/ is complete and spare parts no longer needed. What is missing? Just the thermostat inlet housing & the starter, alternator. All other parts are intact. This has flat top carbs that you most likely want to replace. The engine has not been run in the past 10 years. It has a performance cam installed. I do not have any details, as the prior owner has passed away. I would like to see someone is the Northeast be the new owner to minimize delivery costs. I dropped the price to $750 I think that is a fair price for both. Someone got to have a good home for this. Advertiser crshowers Date 08/10/2020 Price $750.00 Category Parts for Sale

I need to replace the shifter bushing in my early 240Z, manufactured 8/70. I know that the very early Zs were different from the slightly later models. I suspect I have an early transmission, but I'll confirm that later. What I am particularly interested in is the gaining access to the bushings. Is it necessary to remove the center console or can they be access from beneath the car? I think of taking out the console to be a real pain, so if I can avoid it, so much the better. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi all, I've been really cranking away at my Z (11/70) and put my stroker in as well as the new 5 speed. My issue is fitting the old clutch cylinder to the new clutch fork. On my old 4 speed transmission the fork had a hole in it for the threaded rod to go through and I could compress the clutch fully. However on the new one, this hole does not exist and I can't compress the rod fully to bolt the clutch to the new transmission. Really hoping for some suggestions on this and thanks in advance for the help. Chris
