Carb-Rookie, Need some advice!

I dont think you'll get a measurable gain. But low end torque improved on my setup. I have ztherapy carbs though.

Mike, I guess one question still remains......what do you do with the original wiring from the EFI? I have no suggestions, sorry!

if there are any RX-7s around at the bone yards . The cars that are carbed use a great little fuel pump that is pirfect for the SUs and cheep at the yards . I bought mine for $15. and have beer running it for over 2yrs. and there quiet and no regulater is needed. Just be sure it is from a NON FUEL INJECTED CAR.

Hey Mike, I've been thinking about your wiring question. I'm not sure about the ignition wiring on a ZX. I dont know if it goes thru the brain or not. Hopefully someone out there in Z land can answer that. I would think it would be easy enough to bypass things to get the car running on carbs. Google the "Datsun Garage" and look thru his site. I thought he had some basic ignition wiring diagrams posted. You might just go to your parts store and get a cheap Haynes or Chilton manual for a 240 or 260Z to get the wiring diagrams. Thanks alot man, my mom just bought me a haynes manuel (haha my mommy) and its got all the good stuff. One thing, can i get body stuff off of a 240? cause they seem very alike the 280.

Hey Mike, you do have a ZX right not a Z? Some 280Z parts will fit the 240Z but a 280ZX is a whole new ballgame.
