Inf Posted March 3, 2004 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2004 I searched the galleries and couldnt find any pics of the 432 exhaust plumbing (based on keywords people put in). Could someone post a pic of the underbody with a good view of how the twin pipes are arranged? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/10541-432-exhaust-pic-request/ Share on other sites
v12horse Posted March 4, 2004 Share #2 Posted March 4, 2004 I don't know if this is going to help you, but here is a picture of an exhaust system for a Z styled after the 432 type made by TRUST. Whether it is true to the 432's I am not sure. Alan would know for sure. I have no clue if it would be accurate or not, but you could have 2manyzs take a photo of the undercarriage of his kyosho z432-r. Hehehe. Just a thought. Good luck on finding that 432 set up. That would be awesome if you did that for your Z. -Ben:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/10541-432-exhaust-pic-request/#findComment-71074 Share on other sites
Inf Posted March 4, 2004 Author Share #3 Posted March 4, 2004 Thanks for the reply v12horse, I was thinking of gathering together some pics and finding a decent exhaust shop to fab up something similar connected to set of 3-2 headers without the collector. This will help a lot.Pics of the system installed would also be very usefulThanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/10541-432-exhaust-pic-request/#findComment-71077 Share on other sites

HS30-H Posted March 11, 2004 Share #5 Posted March 11, 2004 Hi Andrew, Sorry for chiming in late on this one. I see you have had some good help from v12horse already. I can recommend the TRUST system, and many Japanese owners use them on their cars. The centre resonators are not exactly the same as the originals ( which used a single long and slightly flattened oval box ) but it looks correct in most respects and sounds good. They are fairly inexpensive too. Here's a pic comparing the standard L-series 6 system with that of the S20 system. Its from an official Nissan publication. Hopefully it might help a little? Cheers, Alan T. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/10541-432-exhaust-pic-request/#findComment-72151 Share on other sites

HS30-H Posted March 11, 2004 Share #7 Posted March 11, 2004 I suggest that you try asking one of the companies that imports TRUST parts to the USA. I believe that they should be able to order it for you. You might want to scan the USA import tuning magazines for a suitable candidate.HOWEVER, don't forget that the TRUST system is designed to bolt to EITHER the standard exhaust manifold ( ie - not particularly efficient or performance oriented ) or to their own 6-branch tubular exhaust manifold. Please remember that an exhaust manifold designed for an RHD car - especially a tubular 'performance' type one - will not necessarily fit an LHD car........The system itself - from the manifold joint back - should fit any LHD or RHD S30-series Z with no problems. Its just that manifold issue that you need to beware......Alan T. ChrisA Posted March 11, 2004 Share #8 Posted March 11, 2004 Thanks for the heads up Alan. I googled for TRUST exhaust distributors and came up with nothing. Guess I'll just have one made locally. HS30-H Posted March 11, 2004 Share #9 Posted March 11, 2004 Chris,Don't give up after just a fruitless Google search!I know there are umpteen TRUST importers in the USA. At least one of them should be able to help you. They may even have a USA office for all I know....These systems are not all that expensive ( although I don't have any ready figures to quote you off the top of my head ) so it could well be easier and not all that much more expensive to get the TRUST system. At least you would know that it works, fits right ( from the manifold back..... ) and is a well-trusted part in the Japanese Z scene. Sorry about the pun........Like I said, don't give up on it.Good luck,Alan T. Inf Posted March 11, 2004 Author Share #11 Posted March 11, 2004 I briefly did some research and found that Trust is mainly known as Greddy (http://www.greddy.com) here in the US. The US website for greddy didn't seem to have any stuff for the S30, or any products marketed as Trust. The Japanese website for Trust is http://www.trust-power.com .I poked around with my limited knowledge of japanese, but couldn't seem to find anything for the S30 other than an NA exhaust manifold, and a pretty nice looking stainless twin turbo manifold (but expensive! 190,000 yen).I saw a new (or maybe NOS?) Trust 432 style exhaust system on ebay a while back, and it had a pretty high base bid. Don't remember if it ended up actually selling or not.Edit : found it by searching the forums - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33630&item=2459181642According to the seller the parts are discontinued. It would probably be cheaper to have someone local put one together anyway I would expect.
