SkiWaNow Posted March 4, 2004 Share #1 Posted March 4, 2004 I am looking for an LD28 crank to build a stroker motor with. Does anyone out there have one, or know of one for sale? TTDRIVER Posted March 5, 2004 Share #2 Posted March 5, 2004 I know someone who is selling one for $350 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/10554-looking-for-ld28-crank/#findComment-71233 Share on other sites
sblake01 Posted March 5, 2004 Share #3 Posted March 5, 2004 There are two Maxima diesels at the Ecology in Rialto but that's in California. They seem to be somewhat available as I have seen a few over the last couple of years in the Pick a Parts, Ecologys, etc. They are about 40 bucks if you pull one yourself at a self service wrecker. SkiWaNow Posted March 5, 2004 Author Share #4 Posted March 5, 2004 What is the contact info for the person selling the crank for $350? Unfortunately I don't think going to California to pull the crank is possible. $40 is a darn good price though. sblake01 Posted March 5, 2004 Share #6 Posted March 5, 2004 I think I'll start pulling these things when I see them. There seems to be more than a casual interest in them. I come across them fairly often. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/10554-looking-for-ld28-crank/#findComment-71302 Share on other sites
Gav240z Posted March 5, 2004 Share #7 Posted March 5, 2004 Knowing that they are fairly heavy how much do you think it would be to ship these? I currently have some money saved so I'd be ready for one but if not for a while I'll blow my money on something else . sblake01 Posted March 5, 2004 Share #8 Posted March 5, 2004 I'd have to do some research on the weight but shipping from Southern California to Australia? Do you really think it would be worth it? Gav240z Posted March 6, 2004 Share #9 Posted March 6, 2004 It's unfortunate I know but in Australia I rarely see any for sale i think I've seen one and the guy wanted $1200 and to me it's not worth that much money.I will try find out how much things like this cost to ship out maybe I can get a few guys to buy one and shipping in bulk could be cheaper who knows???:disappoin Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/10554-looking-for-ld28-crank/#findComment-71437 Share on other sites
Gee Posted March 8, 2004 Share #10 Posted March 8, 2004 I found one for $880 Gav.. it you want the info, let me know. Even then, I thought THAT was pricey. If you were going to do a heavy, bulk order from overseas I'd say you'd be better off getting some LSD's at the same time as well!! You'd get a fair interest in them too I'd say. Count me in if someone wants to look at this as an option. Gav240z Posted March 9, 2004 Share #11 Posted March 9, 2004 Yes Gee $880 is pricey if you can pass on the info that would be great. I might see if I can get the price down a little but seeing as these are getting rarer I don't think they will be getting cheaper soon.
