Nismo241 Posted March 15, 2004 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2004 Well I just picked up a 74 260z, I bought it from a repo yard, and the forsale sign that was in the car from the old owner claimed it had an L28 block and an L24 head. Now I'm not sure how much truth is in that but it hasn't been ran in a while now. I can smell gas, but it smells kinda funky, it has no air cleaner or anything of the sort on the end of the carbs. I can't find any wiring diagrams for it to see if the wiring is good or bad. We cranked it over and it almost wants to start, but won't fire. I know it has spark, I just put new gas in it so I know the gas is good......any suggestions or some good pics of a motor so I can see how the fuel lines are ran and what not??? seerex Posted March 15, 2004 Share #2 Posted March 15, 2004 if you look in the gallery there is a section just for motors, also there is a pic of my motor which has the stock fuel line set up in my gallery , if you look at the block casting numbers and the head casting numbers it will tell you which model of each that you have for referance , try starting fluid or hook up the fuel pump to an alternative fuel source such as a mower gas can to try and start it just in case the gas in the tank is bad ,good luck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/10730-wont-start/#findComment-72628 Share on other sites
