The people who specifically value very early ('69) cars would probably have no interest in one with a turbo L28 motor unless the matching numbers original engine was part of the deal.I find it somewhat amusing that they say it's ready for paint. Clearly it has been primed. However, the pictures obviously show that it has just been rained on. That's about the worst thing you can do to it. sblake01 Posted April 1, 2004 Share #19 Posted April 1, 2004 It is listed as a 'parts car'. Reading his description, I don't think he's trying to pull the wool, he just doesn't know! Missing a lot of parts. I don't think he'll get $1500. mdbrandy Posted April 1, 2004 Share #20 Posted April 1, 2004 I wonder how he knows how much power it has...I can't tell where it's taking it's induction from - where the airflow meter usually is on an injected engine, there is nothing there. I'd assume it isn't running given the picture... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/11025-another-claimed-69-240/?page=2#findComment-75160 Share on other sites
St.stephen Posted April 1, 2004 Author Share #21 Posted April 1, 2004 that car def isn;t running in that picture. There's a host of vaccum lines not hooked up, the block that houses the connections for the pickup coil on the drivers side fender well is gone. The harness that runs along the passenger side of the engine bay doesn't look hooked up either. This ties over to where the pickup coil is hooked up at on the drivers side. So what does "It does run and drive, however" mean to you? I suppose it could have run before he took it apart again...
