I was wondering if anyone else had one of these wheels. I came across an add in an import car mag that advertised removable steering wheels, like they use in most forms of pro racing. I checked their site and sure enough they made a connecting hub for the 240. I got the wheel really because i thought it was cool, and when in my 240 i get this idea that i'm some sorta race car driver. But anyway the quality of the leather wheel is very good in my opinion and whats more i can take it off and no one can steal my car with out it. Of course anything is possible but what car thief carries a spare steering wheel (the company does say that you need the exact hub to put another wheel on and no two are the same). Ok 240's aren't on the high list of the average car thief but hey i built my car with my bare hands and i don't want some punk joy riding in it. Also whenever i need to dig around behind my dash i can take it off with a simple key and push of two opposing buttons. Putting in my Corbeau seats was a little easyer too on the drivers side. Just thought i'd throw that out there and see if anyone else had one or liked the idea.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Can you tell the rest of us where you found this kit?? Will the hub work with other style steering wheels or is this made for just the one wheel? Might be a lot of people interested in something like this so if you can post a link or the company that makes it that would be great.

Remember you will loose your horn button. It will have to be moved. Also I would think you loose your turn signal return maybe even the turn signal switch itself. For security check sears/ntw they have a battery that comes witha remote. When enabled it allows enough power to keep clocks/chips active but,not enough to crank the car.It has a motion sensor that beeps and storage mode if you leave say the lights on.It will shut down.It looks like a standard battery in size and shape. It's great, no wires to run,no holes to drill,no plunger switches to install.I love it!! Have fun!! Daniel

Well, now that the planets have aligned in cyberspace and the link works, all I can say is this. Why couldn't I have found one like this when I was racing! Guess I'll have to fix this 240 and go racing again so I can get one of these and be able to get in and out of the car without folding my legs up. Well, maybe not, but it sure would have been nice! They even have some decent looking wheels for acceptable prices.
