scrote Posted June 28, 2004 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2004 was wondering if someoine could help me out. i have looked at a 73 240z wich seems ok chassis wise has rust at bottom of doors and front gaurds. this is all fine.my concern is there is also a hole just under the rear window drivers side about dollar coin size.should i be worried.the car has at some stage been resprayed but by the look of it some time ago.any info regarding this would be great as the 240z does not often come up for sale here in oz. 240Zdragon72 Posted June 28, 2004 Share #2 Posted June 28, 2004 I have the same problem, mine is on the passenger side. The only way to get rid of it/ fix it, is to cut the old panel out and weld a good one in its place. That is what I have forund. If you can find a 240Z with a backend that has no rust, I'd get the part. Not very many Junked 240Z in Florida have this part intact. Too bad they discontinued this part. A lot of us might need it. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6978&password=&sort=1&thecat=500 This is a good pic of what it looks like. Good luck.
