hls30.com Posted August 17, 2004 Author Share #25 Posted August 17, 2004 My good friend broke the pin lose today! More heat, more hammers! he cut one of the mushrooms off and all that is left to do is find an appropriately sized drift-I am just not as good with the heat wrench!I still will have to get another useable pin, so the puller will be put together. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/12866-it-is-stuck-i-mean-fused-like-fast-food-chicken/?page=3#findComment-91630 Share on other sites
Bambikiller240 Posted August 18, 2004 Share #26 Posted August 18, 2004 Next time I have need of one of these tools, I'm gonna buy one. When I'm done, I'll sell it for around half price if I can't forsee needing it again. I will never do this job without the tool again. I have seen the light. hls30.com Posted August 18, 2004 Author Share #28 Posted August 18, 2004 Gary, after my recent experience with my Sawzall, I can completely understand, you bought it to use, and letting someone else take your use out of it is "thoroughly aggrivating(siad with a cartoon voice whilst holding an ACME disintegrator ray gun, and wearing a floor brush on your head-all too keep you from going off with both barrels on the ragafraggit, moringgrattit, mongrill wascally rabbit)"Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/12866-it-is-stuck-i-mean-fused-like-fast-food-chicken/?page=3#findComment-91661 Share on other sites

Darrel Posted August 28, 2004 Share #31 Posted August 28, 2004 Chronology of the spindle pin pulling tool---Dan Bethea made the first ones, selling them on Hybridz. He didn't have any made up when I was about to do my suspension. I decided to make one for myself. Using mild steel etc, just to see how it would work. It worked well enough for me to find better materials to make them out of. The pic I have up on zdriver was the first version. Marty Rogan and seppi72 bought the 1st couple I made. I have since sent them updated parts for their tools.Soon after I posted pics, I saw my pics posted on another web site and selling them.I give credit to Dan Bethea for having the first idea to make the spindle pin tool. mdbrandy Posted September 4, 2004 Share #32 Posted September 4, 2004 The Spindle-Pin-Puller that Gary has is one I made.I have more info here http://www.linfoot.net When I buy a tool that works as advertised, I am always happy in an amazed sort of way! This tool is a godsend! After a 12 ton Harbor Freight press did nothing more than bend the pin end, this tool did both sides in about 20 - 30 minutes, with only a little sweat! The other two rear suspensions I have to do this on now will be cake! Thanks!
