panchovisa Posted August 18, 2004 Share #13 Posted August 18, 2004 How about airbrushing the hood to look like it was clear with the engine compartment of your dreams underneath? Or just put a number on it (and the doors) and RACE IT!!!! speedyblue Posted August 18, 2004 Share #14 Posted August 18, 2004 I knew about the sill stripes, But this is the car I meant. Some guys have actually had clear bonnets made up. A guy got one made for his VS Commodore by a helicopter manufactureror something. MAde it from perspex I believe. Cost him a few grand, but looked nice. You would have to keep the engine real clean though and wash outside and inside the bonnet. kyteler Posted August 18, 2004 Share #15 Posted August 18, 2004 A guy in NZ got a clear bonnet made up for his R32 Showcar, wasn't for road use I don't believe but kept drool and greasy fingers away from his engine bay during the shows no doubt. Zrush Posted August 18, 2004 Share #17 Posted August 18, 2004 Hey rusty260z, how about some "ghost Z's" painted on you car. I've seen a few hot rods with ghost flames. Looks really good because the graphics aren't so over powering. You could get the "ghost Z's" painted behind the front wheels where the motor heads normally put the flames. Even on the hood they'd look good. You have to be at the right angle to see them, pretty neat I think.
