Zhead Posted August 25, 2004 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2004 Hello everyone, I just bought an ignition module e12-80, I allready have the distributor from a zx. Is there a way to test the ignition module other than have it to install it to the new dizzy and to the car? beandip Posted August 26, 2004 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2004 There most likely is a test that the dealer can do with there testing equipment. Why dont you just plug it in and start the engine. Is this a spair module for you or are you just now installing the ignition ? Do you have a 12volt coil as will ? 240zwinter Posted October 14, 2005 Share #3 Posted October 14, 2005 According to the Mitchels manual the IC or ignition unit as they call it should read aprox 400 OHMS across the two leads give or take 10%.Hope that helps.
