Advice wanted for shipping L28

I have an offer to trade parts of my 1983 L28 Turbo motor for a complete late model non-turbo motor with SU carbs. If it can be worked out we've agreed to pay shipping each way for the swap. Unfortunately my trading partner and I are in opposite corners of the country. I just need some advice on what would be the most cost effective way for me to have his motor shipped from Florida to Washington State. I figure it can be put on a pallet and wrapped in plastic and truck shipped. Anyone in the Hurricane State have any recommendations as to what trucking line to contact or how much this would cost me? As my Florida friend only wants the goodies off my motor and not the whole enchilada it should be a lot less to ship my parts to him. I had been going back and forth on whether to put the turbo motor in my 71 Z, but have decided to stick with SUs for now so I feel the trade will be worth it if it doesn't cost me too dearly for shipping. Most trucking company's will want to know the weight to give you an estimate (3-400lbs is my ballpark guess). Make a base out of some 2X4's so it won't tip over. Wrapping it in seran or other plastic wrap is a good idea. Building a crate would be best, especially to prevent damaging the carbs. Find a trucking company close to your house this way you can drop it off. I'd say 90% of them will transport nationwide. Consolidated Freightways, Yellow, ABF are just a few that come to mind.
