datfreak Posted October 22, 2004 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2004 I'am looking at buying some beautiful rs8 wantabe(spelling?) 16 X 7 wheels but i dont know if they will fit.The seller says that they are off a skyline and he had them on a silvia(both 114.3 hubs).. looking at the rs8 japan website, that would make them +35 offset(or there abouts) with means they wouldnt fit my 240z.. is that right??Any info, advise would be great!! datfreak Posted October 22, 2004 Author Share #2 Posted October 22, 2004 btw..Is there any markings that indicate what offset the wheel is? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/13722-wantabe-offsets-anyone/#findComment-99016 Share on other sites
81na ZX Posted October 22, 2004 Share #3 Posted October 22, 2004 well if they are F8(classic 8 spoke), they could be +25, +30, or +35. If they are F8F (8 spoke, FWD offset), +27, +35, or +40. The offset should be cast, usually on the back side of the center - unless its a multi-piece/modular wheel.a +25 16x7 would be a 4.5" offset Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/13722-wantabe-offsets-anyone/#findComment-99039 Share on other sites
datfreak Posted October 22, 2004 Author Share #4 Posted October 22, 2004 the wheels have a backspace of 130mm-- and they are 16 X 7 ...looking under my car it looks it would be very close to fitting..like 10-15 mm gap before the strut...is that enough? av240z Posted October 23, 2004 Share #5 Posted October 23, 2004 for any + offset you need spacers, either go 0 offset or convert to coilovers and get negative offset watanabes Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/13722-wantabe-offsets-anyone/#findComment-99161 Share on other sites
