For those of you that haven't found the feature, there is a way to monitor the chat room while you are browsing the forums. When you enter the chatroom and find that no one is there, before you exit, click on the push-pin icon just below exit. Then exit the chatroom as you normally would. You will then find on your bottom toolbar a monitor that will tell you if there is no user, or if someone enters the chatroom you will see their user name. When you see a username show up you can then enter the chatroom and have a chat.

I tried the "little push pin" technique, and it threw up another window showing my name listed in it. Then after a few minutes, my name disappeared. I kept watching and no one showed up. But when I actually got into the chat again, someone had logged in but I never knew it. Did I just miss it?

After it gives you the window, don't close the window, just exit the chatroom and the window closes and goes to the toolbar. It refreshes just like the chatroom does, so if anyone entered while you were somewhere else, you may have just missed them.

I use the monitor all the time, that way I can check my e-mails, go to another site or just roam around the main page, and I still know if or when someone enters the chatroom.

Your name will stay in the window for a short time, then after a while it will show no user.
