Hrududu Posted December 19, 2004 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2004 Has anyone here tried these turbonators ? I thought they looked interesting and wondered if they really make a difference in fuel economy or performance. Bambikiller240 Posted December 19, 2004 Share #2 Posted December 19, 2004 Fantasy, pure and simple. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/14373-anyone-tried-a-turbonator/#findComment-105537 Share on other sites
Mike Posted December 19, 2004 Share #3 Posted December 19, 2004 Ooh! They have a description like, "better flame propogation".... I'm sold! These things have been proven to do nothing for your car. But, it's a fun gimmick. I can't believe they put the words supercharger and turbocharger as a comparison! Oh well.... Probably a hell of a lot cheaper. Mike Posted December 19, 2004 Share #4 Posted December 19, 2004 More fine print:35 HP boosts are not typical. Your results with the Turbonator will probably, but not necessarily, be less. e_racer1999 Posted December 19, 2004 Share #6 Posted December 19, 2004 it's a good idea with a good principle, but not worth $70 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/14373-anyone-tried-a-turbonator/#findComment-105548 Share on other sites
Bambikiller240 Posted December 19, 2004 Share #7 Posted December 19, 2004 it's a good idea with a good principle, but not worth $70Yeah, the principal is to transfer someone's money into someone else's pocket. Anything else that happens is purely coincidental. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/14373-anyone-tried-a-turbonator/#findComment-105553 Share on other sites
Ed Posted December 19, 2004 Share #8 Posted December 19, 2004 Isn't there a similar product called "The Tornado " or something? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/14373-anyone-tried-a-turbonator/#findComment-105555 Share on other sites
Hrududu Posted December 19, 2004 Author Share #9 Posted December 19, 2004 A friend of mine showed em to me a while back. I thought it looked bogus, but wasn't sure since i don't know a lot about engines. Thanks guys. I wouldn't have paid that much anyhow, but now i won't even be tempted.
