Whats your cars theme??

Don't know if this could be a theme, but I made my 71 as I would have done back in 71. When I started the project, I knew I couldn't afford to go back to pure stock, so it has triple Webers, XR-700 ignition, headers, bigger sway bars, KYB struts, and the 240-Z side stripes. All this was available in the 70's, so if I had the car back then, this is how I would have modded it.

Sure its a theme! Its YOUR theme, YOUR ideas. YOU would have modded it your way... thats your theme. I think its cool!

I also agree with gogriz91. I also want something that no one in my town has with the exception of Sean240's Zed. The only similarity is they are both '73's.

Interesting!

My old 280Z had a "classic" sports car look, with a hint of "hot rod"!

My old AE86 had a kind of "Fast and Furious" look goin on! No crazy stickers or body kit, but it had the other cool stuff.

My Monster RX7 has a "Sleeper" look. Looks bone stock except for two aftermaket guages. Her name is "DEATH". You decide?

In all seriousness my Z won't be upgraded with anything that wasn't available either physically or of the same style in '73. I just want to replace as much of the old electronics, etc with new so I can get another 30 years out of it. Doing so takes it down from time to time and it's all I can do to get it running again.

My wallet mainly determines my theme, and my determination to get my car running after 14 years regardless of the look.

Unmolested survivor look. Exterior of the car will look like crap until I am sufficiently proficient at respraying to redo it. 99% original and any parts replaced are correct from the year the car was produced. ( which could have been expensive as it is an early car)
