Picked up a copy of GT 4 "prologue" form a second hand shop (still waiting for my copy of GT4 to arrive from ebay).

In Arcade mode, the first car you can drive is the Fairlady 240ZG. Gave it a spin around the New York track.

Speaking of Driving Sims, check out this driving sim cockpit

I know the guy who is developing that. I met him through an online sim racing league I was in. It's a pretty amazing piece of equipment, his developing stories have been very interesting. If your interested, here is his website URL:

http://www.force-dynamics.com/

Am I the only online sim-racing geek in the group? I cut my teeth with GPL leagues many years ago for those in the know, latest sim on my machine is GTR. Any other league racers out there? or if anyone might be interested, I have a pile of URL's to get you started.

Cool, thanks for the link.

Now when i win lotto....

Craig,

Not long after I saw your post, I ran into Dave on IRC and told him I saw his movie posted on our Z site. I asked him how this were going and he told me he's been bowled over with orders worldwide (latest order from Abu Dhabi). He's a really down to earth guy and it's great to see that his hard work is finally paying off. FWIW, list price is 28K without PC, 30.8K with. Dunno bout you, but I got my lotto ticket for tonight.

Hmmm talk about streotyping. Im 6'2" 185 pounds hardly fat, also im a bicycle messenger I usually ride about 50-60 miles a day on my bike. So lets just say im probally in better shape than about 90% of the general population. I do like to sit in front of my CRT after a long hard day at work and play gt4, for this I apoligize. :P Sorry for my little rant.

Back to the game I just ran the 240zg in the 1/4 the best time I could manage was a 10.869 not to shabby.

Couldnt agree with you more. streotyping. :stupid: I'm 17 and play video games and i'm not fat. I'm saying i dont sit there all day either. After work/school maybe. But not for a long time. I usally get bored and want to do it in real life. ha ha! :bandit: I have seen the game before never really played it thou. they have old school z's in that game? i didnt know that. What about old school bimmers? :D i should really get that game but i'm spending too much money on my 240z! :ermm:

did a 1:32 at Infineon with a 240ZG fully modded. no Nitrous

1:30.927, no juice. I also pulled a 6:53 on the Ring with juice. Been spending most of my time on the game just running whatever car I want to drive on the Ring just because the track is so cool.

That thing is awesome. An idea you might want to put forward to Dave is to make a Flight Sim version. I think the flight sim guys would go nuts over it.

Imagine dogfighting in a F/A-18 in that. Probably just need to replace the wheel with a joystick (0f course the current system doesnt have the range of movment to simulate a roll, but would be more realistic than flying your computer desk). But sounds like he has enough on his plate at the moment.

I found the link to the video on another site when I searched google for driving sim cockpits. I'm Planning to build something like www.racebasecockpit.com or http://www.playseats.com

I won lotto, but last division only, which is about $26 :ermm:
