R30 skyline with turbo motor

hey guys, say this on the toyota forum, for a few hundred can get a good turbo motor and 5spd. not sure if its L20 or L28, but might as well try and give them a call in sydney thou

It would most probably be a L20ET.

Its got 300zx mags.

Nope, it's definately a turbo L28. Some of the pictures further down the post show it.

I saw a NZ performance vid with the same model skyline, in only slightly better condition going down the 1/4 mile, each time with more NO2. It ended up faster than a new GTR, then busted the engine. Quite funny.

Umm, definately an L28? you can tell by the pictures?

How exactly? since an L20 and an L28 look pretty much the same, the only diference being the bore and stroke of the engine. Same block, same head, same rocker cover, etc. or are there other obvious differences i dont know about?

or have you got your x-ray specs on?

cant see any badges to tell if its a 2000GT or a 2800GT.

someone even says "L20T nice" and the guy posting the ad doesnt dispute it.

Just did a search and learnt myself some new stuff about skylines. Won't make that mistake again. I thought the 2L 6cyl finished in the early 70s.

Cars larger than 2 liters get taxed higher in Japan or something, thats why most of them are up to 2 liters. The higher capacity engines are still available for those that can afford to pay more.
