I'll be replacing this quarter shortly (cutting out and welding in a good condition used one), hopefully before MSA in 2 weeks. Anyway just looking for any pointers if any of you might have done this before..something I should look out for etc. Thanks :ermm:

Well I should be getting the quarter panel later today, the car it's being cut from arrived at the shop last night...I'll go there to make sure it's in good shape and then the fun begins. No one else has replaced one before huh ? :paranoid: :stupid:

While I've never attempting anything close to this I'd be curious about what you'll need to do to protect the fuel vent hoses and expansion tank from the welding process. I'm guessing you'll need to remove everything fuel-related first.

Yeah I would think so also.... don't want to go boom :dead: from any vapors smiley_abzh.gif

I'm not so much worried about the vapor tank that's kinda away from the seams I'll be welding but the lines that go to the tank are a different story cause they go right along the back which will need to be welded as well so I'll probably pull the vapor tank off cause it's rather easy to do..I might have to drop the gastank though as well unfortunately...better safe than sorry though if it gets anywhere close :nervous:.
