BadDog Posted May 8, 2002 Author Share #13 Posted May 8, 2002 Yes, I think you're right, it probably gets mounted with the tabs in the backside or underneath somehow... maybe it's supposed to be mounted to the hood or grill that would make it difficult to open the hood The only front bumper overrider pics I can recall seeing are the type that span the bumper guards. Hmm... I wonder if this is a European version? European bumpers didn't have bumper guards, right? EScanlon Posted May 14, 2002 Share #14 Posted May 14, 2002 Beandip just recently installed a "short" one as you described. It mounts "between" the bumper guards and to the bumper itself. I checked the CD and could not find mention of either one anywhere.Be careful when you mount the short one to the bumper in that you make sure that the hood will clear it as you open it, otherwise you'll have to relocate and drill new holes. BadDog Posted May 14, 2002 Author Share #15 Posted May 14, 2002 Very good point. I think I'll try to get a hold of Beandip and ask for a picture or two. Like I said, I'm wondering if it's the bumper overrider for the Euro style bumber (no bumper guards) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/1563-mounting-bumper-overriders/?page=2#findComment-7176 Share on other sites
EScanlon Posted May 14, 2002 Share #16 Posted May 14, 2002 That is the main reason Beandip got that one. He's not planning on getting the Bumper Guards as we call them (Nissan calls the guards Overriders), and therefore he needed a different mounting method than the one that mounts to the guards. When I saw this one on e-bay I told him, and he got it.It does look sharp.
