mriz Posted May 14, 2005 Share #1 Posted May 14, 2005 O.k. so I got the interior harness out of the parts car but it's been sitting exposed to weather for 13 yrs. Do you think cleaning up the connectors would do it or would the wires be just plain dry rotted? I would prefer to make a copy but I lack electrical knowledge. In other words what is the best way to go about starting this , type of wire ? increase ga. or go with origional?,reuse connectors? Thanks. hls30.com Posted May 15, 2005 Share #2 Posted May 15, 2005 Give it a once over, if the insulation is ok, as I would expect, get some Deoxit, and clean them up.Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/15906-harness/#findComment-123864 Share on other sites
Mike Posted May 15, 2005 Share #3 Posted May 15, 2005 It's impossible to find replacement connectors. Treat them with care! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/15906-harness/#findComment-123885 Share on other sites
mriz Posted May 15, 2005 Author Share #4 Posted May 15, 2005 Thanks for info. I'll give it a good cleaning and re-check before I take the old one out. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/15906-harness/#findComment-123906 Share on other sites
