total internal engine fluid volume

how much fluid volume would your engine hold if you were so inclined to fill it? from the oil pan to the top of your oil cap port. on my car this would mean the oil pan, a 280 block, su's and an e88 head. the fluid would fill the return hose, intake, cylinders, carbs and don't forget to plug the dip stick port. the valve cover alone might take a gallon.

i filled mine with atf as a detergent while its in for paint and body. considering i made three trips to the parts store for more and the amasement of those who watched me do it; i'm curious if anyone could guess just how much it held. post your answers in quarts and i'll post what was my reality (for my car).

feel free to advise me of what i might need to replace (carb cork) and or do as a procedure prior to engine start.

I am just speachless, why would you fill the carbs to the pan? Guiness world record?
