Looking for restoration shop in LOS ANGELES

Hey everyone, I have a 1978 280Z that has a lot of rust. I want to get it taking care of and get a paint job while im in the process of doing so. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good Z body shop near or in Los Angeles, CA. thanx

What kind of "restoration" are you looking for? Daily driver or concours?

Most autobody shops are looking for insurance work because it pays better. This is the slow time of year for them so you should be able to find a reputable shop that can do your rust repair and paint.

If the San Diego area is an option I can make a few recomendations.

Well, Vista isn't as far as San Diego, but, I know a reputable shop down there. Les Cannaday has a shop in Vista and his website is http://www.classicdatsun.com/ . They were actually chosen by Nissan as one of the restoration shops to participate in the Z-store factory restoration program.

I just bought the six piece rear interior Blue replacement panels from Les. He is great to work with and very knowledgeable. I wish he would sponsor here. Got a Classic Datsun license plate frame too! If I lived in Calif. he'd do my resto.
