HELP ME!!! only gettin fuel to 1 cylinder!

Recommended Posts

Just a thought, the injectors are batch fired, so if one is firing more should be too.

Will

What do you mean "Batch Fired" Seems to imply, to me at least, that you mean they all "fire" at the same time. Surely they are sequentially fired according to which cylinder is on the intake stroke?

Theres an injector per cylinder though, right?

So 5 times out of 6 the injector is squirting into a closed valve?

I dont know much about EFI, and nothing about the 280z efi, but it seems a bit inefficient to me. Or am i missing something?

YES...ITS FIXED wooot..!!! thanks Will you were right =) sounds so nice with the new exhaust i just need to do some timing adjustments and im ready to start the rest of the resto =)

What did it turn out to be? Unplugged FI power plug? I knew it had to be simple just that there are so many things to check when you get a 'no start' on a EFI car. Glad you got it fixed.

yah tha was pretty much it... when i took the battery out i must have yanked on it or sumthin... So glad i got it running but i almost cried today =( I was drivin it around my block for sh*ts and giggles and the battery wasnt strapped in and it slid off the tray and onto one of the original braided lines and it ripped

Something I just realized that I missed: Somewhere in this thread or another one about your car, you said that you put the 72 exhaust system on the 76? If you did that, then your exhaust ports don't match your manifold. It'll run but may not run as good as it would if they matched and you could have exhaust leaks.

Well in all honesty it runs a hell of alot better than my former exhaust and i do have 1 leak but its just because of a broken stud. I have to drill this one out but the others just screwed out... i dont get it :ermm: This manifold might not be permant, i want to see if i can get the 280 manifold back on but i broke the studs on that aswell LOL.. If i get it running smooth then i may not put the old manifold back on. I matched the exhaust ports and they were identical but one thing im not sure of is that the exhaust i put on is off a stock 240z because it has an EGR valve.... Correct me if im wrong but 240z's didnt come with an egr right? It did come off my 240 though...
