billsz Posted October 5, 2005 Share #1 Posted October 5, 2005 I know almost everyone out there has 240's & 260's but I happen to like the 280zx's the best. Sure they are the biggest, heaviest, and slowest of the z's but I still like them the best. Every one knows how they squat through the gears, I would like to elimate this as much as possible. I am going to change the springs and shocks but I don't want to stiffen the car too much and I don't really want to lower it if I don't have to. By the way, I have an '83 280zx with 71k miles on it. On ebay I can buy a set of Tokico springs and gas shocks for around $350, much less than Motorsport or Victoria British. My main purpose is to stiffen up my ride (a little) but mainly to elimate the rear end squat when shifting gears. I don't race this car, so I don't need any extremes. I would appreciate any recomendations on which way to go. Thank you, Bill Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/17496-suspension/ Share on other sites
