78 280zcar Posted October 9, 2005 Share #1 Posted October 9, 2005 Does anyone know which wires on the chassis (where the tranny hooks up to) is the wires for the reverse lamp switch. webdawg1 Posted October 9, 2005 Share #2 Posted October 9, 2005 Should be two (2) green wires, both female connections. Wires on the switch should both be male unless PO has been cutting away at the wiring for some reason...webdawg1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/17560-reverse-lamp-wires/#findComment-141073 Share on other sites
jackboxxx Posted October 9, 2005 Share #3 Posted October 9, 2005 on the 240 its a small 2 wire harness that comes out of the main engine compartment harness about 6 inches after it comes through the firewall below the battery area down by the frame rails. (see pic) the wires on my car are red/black & red. there are a couple of retainer/bendable clips to hold the harness next to the frame rail away from harm. the wires have the male/female bullet plugs on them to plug into the wires coming off the rev. switch on the pass. side of the tranny near the speedo cable area. Pic of Harness under battery tray pass. side near firewall.
