jmortensen Posted November 2, 2005 Share #25 Posted November 2, 2005 i am usually one who learns with practice. Ive had experience with a mig welder and might i add that was a hell of alot easier than arc. i think im goin to get a small mig for this job and return this arc welder. Would a small gassless mig cut it? one of those portabtle 110v ones? I used one for some welding on a 4-wheeler frame and it worked perfect. I plan on doing patches in the frame rail, floor boards, and unibody.Gasless mig = http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=105610 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/17825-welding/?page=3#findComment-144182 Share on other sites
1 Bravo 6 Posted November 3, 2005 Share #26 Posted November 3, 2005 Hey there Jay,You have certainly received a lot of advice on welding and, while I can't add anything that hasn't already been mentioned, I would remind you to ensure the battery is disconnected before any welding is carried out unless of course, you intend to replace all the wiring and electrical components.Rick. :devious: :devious: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/17825-welding/?page=3#findComment-144314 Share on other sites
