am i crazy or is this a lot of money for a key?

Well, I have looked for a key like this for 5+ years and I've never found one until this auction. I couldn't have justified the $100 selling price, but would probably have bid up to $60-$70 for it (through the "red mist" of eBay bidding wars).

I would have paid that in a second if it had been the correct key for mine.

I have two original sets of these for my Z. One set used and one not.

a month ago five of these keys were auctioned individually. 4 had the right grove ond one the left grove. the same guy won all keys for just over $50 except the lone left grove key was about $100.

Hey at least I got the first bid in for $1.00, then figured it would just fly outta sight -- but maybe not by that much. That other key went to UWHusky, must be a fan of the purple and gold.

hey the guy that won the dec auction won the five auctions in oct. what's he doing, trying to corner the market.

I believe the key pictured in the referenced auction is the type used only for the glovebox.

Same buyer... same seller.. 5 blank keys brought $350.00+... not bad. I wonder how many blank keys dag1955 has stashed away... and how much uwhusky89 will spend in total... What if dag1955 has a whole case of them!!
