Mat M Posted March 5, 2006 Share #2 Posted March 5, 2006 purchased my 240z without a tank . i bought one used and wanted to how it attatches to the fille tube. not sure if i am supposed to use a coupling and clamps or jam it in the filler tube .As far as I remember, there is an "O" shaped flange coming off the tank that fits snug into the filler tube, with a band clamp around them both. There is an panel on the rear-end of the passenger side rear wheel well that you need to remove to gain access to the base of the filler tube. Then you just plug and play with the rest of the fuel lines. reegs01 Posted March 6, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted March 6, 2006 ive tried to fit the flange into the filler tube but its just a hair to big , do you think a little heat would work on the plastic filler tube to make it expand a little . hls30.com Posted March 6, 2006 Share #4 Posted March 6, 2006 Try a film of clean motor oil on the inside of the hose-it is a tight fit to be gin with, and as with nost things a little lubrication goes a long way...Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/19108-need-fuel-tank-help/#findComment-158340 Share on other sites
