Blind Date

Bill gets set up by Rick on a Blind Date. Rick tells Bill that the gal is "real-sweet" and "Cute" but extremely shy and doesn't speak well. Bill uses the internet to discover that this is Blind Date Shorthand for .... a poor date.

On the night of the Date, knowing that Rick went to much trouble to set him up, Bill drives up and picks his date up at home. After knocking on the door, and being let in, a very pretty but kind of plump girl walks in, very subdued and gazing down at the floor.

Bill is flabbergasted and happy that the internet translator was wrong.

They get in the car, and once Bill is in the driver's seat, he asks his date, "What would you like to do?"

His date replies, "I wanna get weighed."

Bill pauses and decides to take her to the carnival that's set up on the edge of town.

Once there, he purchases tickets and takes her to the Weight Guesser, who promptly sits the girl on the chair and announces, "135 pounds".

The girl sobs and quickly gets off the chair. Bill realizes that her feelings are hurt, and quickly takes her to the Ferris Wheel where he hopes to get...lucky.

They get in, and as the wheel turns to allow more people on, he asks her, "Is this better?"

"No! I wanna get weighed!" the girl exclaims.

When they get closer to the bottom, Bill talks the operator into letting them off, and he promptly takes the girl back to the Weight Guesser. This time however, he slips the guesser a few bucks to "soften" his guess.

The Guesser seats the girl, and announces...."115 pounds!" The girl sobs loudly and immediately jumps down from the chair.

Bill comes running up behind her and she just says "Take me home!"

Bill does as requested, and drives the girl home. Not a word is uttered between the two as they drive.

When they pull into the girl's driveway, Bill hopes to at least get a kiss or her number or maybe a second chance so he asks, "Well, how did you think the evening went?"

The girl looks at him with an obviously flabbergasted look, and just before she gets out of the car, she says "WOUSY!"
