Are they only worth that much?? I thought they were worth millions. Is the convertible just not desirable or am I missing something?

The ones with a documented racing history, or ones that won certain races or awards are worth millions, just like the celebrity cars that you see on the Barrett-Jackson auctions.

It's not a real spyder...it's a chopped 250...heavily modified, custom body...neat because it's Beard's car...but not because it's a Ferrari.

unfortunately it modified making it a worth a fraction of if it was original, its still worth alot of money but still not what it should be

Becuase it is Not a real GTO, but a modified GTE that is not even a faithful reproduction-it wouldn't be worth the big bucks as one of the original 39 GTOs built.

There was a company rebuilding GTEs into GTOs-big article in Top Wheels in the late 80s.

Still a pretty car.

there is (was) a company in Chicago that will build you a replica 250 GTO with the ali body & tube frame like the original, but with Chevy a engine.

Frank Beard actually owns a real GTO. Worth about $7m. This variant is overpriced. Most modified GTO's are based on the GTE chassis. Somebody will be paying for Breard's notoriety.

I bet he had the GTE/spyder built to protect the real GTO from damages. There weren't any GTO spyders built; all were berlinettas.
