Thanks for the help guys. When I get it all set up I'll add some pictures to my gallery, might be a while yet. I made the fuel line with earl's fittings, I'm going to be taking the motor out and putting the N-47 head off the origional motor on the F-54 block off of my parts car, with the flat top pistons. The carb setup came with the weber book, which had the specs of the cam the owner had on the car it came off of, so I'm going to get a motorsport stage two cam kit . I can't wait to see how it runs, and sounds. I've never heard a car with triples before, but I heard they sound good.

MSA stage 2 cam is way too small IMO. Stage 4 is more like it, but bigger than stage 4 would be better. Do a search you can find various other threads about the subject, but that stage 2 is really too small for triples. Might want to consider something other than a Schneider cam too. Search on that one as well...

THANKS, What cam kit would you recommend? My setup I'm planning is: F-54 block,n-47 head, Weber40's, Motorsport header, 2 3/4" full exhaust, magnaflow muffler,ACT streetdisc,Extreme pressureplate,Fidanza flywheel,MSD 6al,carter fuel pump.I have most of the parts except the clutch, and the fuel pump. Is there anything else you would recommend for this setup?

No, that combo sounds fine. You might want to go with the less extreme pressure plate. I'm putting out ~240 whp according to the drag racing calculators, and I'm using the lighter pressure ACT clutch with a stock disk, and it holds the power down just fine.

On the cam to truly get the full benefit of the triples I'd go with something in the .500/300 range. You will have issues with coil bind so you'll have to get some different springs, and also you will need different valve stem seals. If you search on hybridz there is a thread where a user name speeder found a Ford V6 seal that is Viton which is a better material and will allow for .600+ lift and fits right on. Last thing to be careful of is valve/piston interference. If you go really huge on the cam you might have to have the pistons fly cut.

I have invested in hundreds of dollars worth of parts trying to squeeze out every last HP on my set up.... expect them to be somewhat of a project....

I found that my raw TWM intake had larger runners than the raw port size on my E88 head... I went ahead and port matched my head to my intake... and smoothed out the intake as well... I also tapped every runner and made up a custom vacuum manifold.

That set up is a good choice if you have patience... It helps to get it on the dyno several times... between jet orders that is.... I could not find anyone who had a good selection of jets locally... so I had to bite the bullet and order them... I also tried 3 different venturi "choke" sizes.

The real deal with these carbys is the infinite tuneability... I have a much better mixture across the board.. I can now drive the car out of corners in 3rd gear with good results... it also has good power to 7500RPM.. the SUs pooped out after 6500RPMs

I looked on the spec sheet for the cam that was in the car, it was .274 lift. What kind of power would this setup put out? I've never driven a car with webers, or raced any with my 240sx. This is my first car that isn't FI, so I'm trying to learn all I can about the weber setup, so I can build a good running motor. I appreciate your time spent helping me out. THANKS

I have a fidanza flywheel and ACT street clutch, and Extreme pressure plate on my 98 240sx(ka24de), and it is awesome. I can catch 4th gear pretty easily. I don't mind the slightly harder pedal. Climbing ladders every day helps I guess. What brand cam would you recommend?

Would the 500/300 cam have a real rough idle, I would like to keep a fairly smooth idle if possible. I will be driving this car occasionally on the streets, probably on weekends mostly. I never really entered any road races or any thing like that, not saying I wouldn't like to in the future.

Hi there I think I may have similar three in a row carbs. When you say 151 is that stamped on them anywhere cause mine are marked

Tipo 42 dcoe

No 6D

The reason I ask is I'm looking too purchase some carb kits from Redline as this engine has been sitting for fifteen years.

Any help would be appreciated
