ktm Posted May 23, 2006 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2006 I have a lovely 1972 240z that is painted 918 Orange. I am in the midst of a refreshening, so as I take off certain pieces I intend to paint them for both aesthetic appearance and corrosion protection.Any suggestions as to an overall paint scheme? Zak's Z Posted May 23, 2006 Share #2 Posted May 23, 2006 Im just at that stage also. I plan on using POR products. They have different colors and finishes depending on what product you get, and all are meant for rustproofing. A google search will bring you to their website.Check the members photo gallery and look at what some members did to their suspension parts. Theres some pretty detailed photos as to colors and finishes. Some suspensions I'm currently looking for ideas are by the users: mlc240z and Jackhammer.Hope this helps a bit,Zak Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/20154-help-me-decide-an-underbody-paint-scheme-control-arms-housings-etc/#findComment-168489 Share on other sites
Zak's Z Posted May 23, 2006 Share #3 Posted May 23, 2006 If you want to get REALLY original looking color schemes, check out this from user KATS personal website, he redid his moustache bar to look like it came from the factory:http://www.geocities.jp/datsunz240zsports/mast.htmlZak Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/20154-help-me-decide-an-underbody-paint-scheme-control-arms-housings-etc/#findComment-168494 Share on other sites
