Unkle Posted May 30, 2006 Share #25 Posted May 30, 2006 This nice gentleman you all speak of was in my driveway 2 months ago .Stood me up 4 times over the past 2 years or so ,2 no shows on a car, and 2 no shows on a parts car. Finally he showed , and offered a whole $200 Canadian after wasting my time ''going over '' the car . texasz Posted May 30, 2006 Share #26 Posted May 30, 2006 Hi againI couldn't find anywhere on Paypal to appeal. All messages from them were final with no reply address. They still want me to pay the balance of the $512.00 refund to him and I am not about to give him anymore funds so it has to hang there. Well hopefully he wont scam anyone for a while because of these posts. Then my other suggestion would be to see about contacting the Visa/Mastercard issuer and see what they are willing to do...if anything. And that's of course providing that PayPal will disclose that information to you, which they probably will not. Don't give up! shaver Posted May 30, 2006 Share #27 Posted May 30, 2006 I think his Ebay career has ended. Sorry for the guys that got stung by him. Even some of his club members are leery of him.I deal with Paypal for many years. Rarely have had a hard time with them. But..........guys .............use the feedback forums ! I always do when i get a bid or buying. If the neck hairs raise up even slightly , i kill the deal. I am upwards of 600 transactions, and no negative feeback in the last year. sakijo Posted May 30, 2006 Share #31 Posted May 30, 2006 Then my other suggestion would be to see about contacting the Visa/Mastercard issuer and see what they are willing to do...if anything. And that's of course providing that PayPal will disclose that information to you, which they probably will not. Don't give up!If you paid by credit card, all you have to do is contact them and explain that you charged it, and never got the product. They will credit your account and go after the guy. You would have to provide some "evidence" to the credit card issuer that you "reasonably" tried to work things out. Copies of e-mails are a very useful in this situation. I had this happen to me and after I sent one last e-mail stating that I was going to contact my credit card company, the stuff arrived within 5 days, postmarked one day after I sent the e-mail. People will do everything to protect their credt rating.FWIW Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/20202-ebay-scammer/?page=3#findComment-169222 Share on other sites
75 280Z Posted May 30, 2006 Share #32 Posted May 30, 2006 "bluefairladyz" has a good amount of positive feedback, but the amount of negatives speak for themselves.....there is a re-occurring pattern here. I'd say it's best to just not deal with this person. http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=bluefairladyz&Dirn=Received+by Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/20202-ebay-scammer/?page=3#findComment-169225 Share on other sites
