Arne Posted June 17, 2006 Share #13 Posted June 17, 2006 I just checked my wiring and the wires in the "T" connector are a heavy green and a black with a white stripe, the black/white is ignition hot. Anyone know what that connector is for?No, but if you ever figure out what that connector goes to, please let me know. I'e identified every other wire in my dash area except that pair. EScanlon Posted June 18, 2006 Share #14 Posted June 18, 2006 I've also run into the Fuel Pump having it's GREEN wire and the BLACK/WHITE that it connects to AFTER an in-line fuse (which is presumably what would plug into the 2 wire connector) show up like that. Here's a few links to some images that give the Single and Multiple Wire Connectors:http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/a...3&d=1127530293This shows the multiple wire connectors AND the color codes for the wires in them. This next one identifies the SINGLE wire connections:http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/a...4&d=1127530293And this is it's legend:http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/a...5&d=1127530334But, from my experience, Arne, I'll bet that if you check the Black White it shows 12v+ power when the ignition is on in the RUN mode, whereas the Green shows nothing. But if you go to the Fuel Tank Area and check continuity with the green wire at both ends.....FWIWE Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/20438-72-240z-stereo-wiring-please-help/?page=2#findComment-171347 Share on other sites
Pir0San Posted June 18, 2006 Author Share #15 Posted June 18, 2006 alright, I wired my stereo today, and it works fine. The way that the P.O./Stereo Installer ran it was the yellow wire for the deck ran to the large white wire with red stripe that connects to the ignition switch wiring harness, the red wire on the stereo connects to a blue wire in the main wiring harness, and the ground is just grounded somewhere on the body.
