Hey guys, I bought the set of floor pans from motorsport auto for my 74 260 awhile back and never put them in and have the opportunity to get a 70 240 that may need the pans redone. I bought the more expensive pans that came with a lil more material to play with and the frame rails. Does anyone know if the pans and frame rails from that package will fit on a 240? thanks for the help.

While I must qualify this by saying that I have never had to replace floor panels, I believe that the floor panels will work thru the early 260Z. The ones with the '73 240Z style bumpers. The later floor panels should be the same as the '75-'78 280Z. Good luck and don't let that stop you from going for the '70. If you sell your 260Z, send the panels with the car. They should increase the value a little bit. At least the number of interested people.

The floor panels will fit all of the S30 2 seat cars, '70-'78. The frame rails and floor support rails were different(the floor support on a 240Z only goes about half way to the back, while the later Zs floor support goes all the way back), but they are interchangeable (using the later parts in an early car will add more strength, but it will not be correct cosmeticly).

I bought the same "Premium Floor Pan Kit" with the frame rails from Motorsport for my '72 and they fit very well. They are a little thicker & stronger than the original pans and have the water drainage holes just like the originals. (I also bought the rubber plugs for the holes from Motorsport).

A little advice. Do one side at a time and bolt the transmission mount into the tunnel while you weld in the new floors. Either string the chassis to align the frame rail, or bolt up the cross member to align the the location of the control arm mount. http://www.datsunzparts.com/start.htm
