Pir0San Posted June 23, 2006 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2006 alright guys, just a quick and simple question. I need a hood, left fender, headlight buckets, and a lower valence for my 240Z. I was looking around at the local junkyards, and found a 280z that had all of these parts on them. My question is (and I know it's really basic, forgive me) will these parts from the 280z fit on my 240z just fine? I know there isn't too much of a difference in the 280's body over the 240, with the exception of bumpers, marker lenses, taillights, emblems, etc.So, will these work? I'm going to pull them tomorrow if they will! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/20528-280z-body-parts-on-a-240z/ Share on other sites
dkd021 Posted June 23, 2006 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2006 Fender & hood are compatible. Are your headlight buckets fiberglass? I would bet that one on a 280 would be metal but it should still fit fine. Lower valence? I can't say with any certaintly on that one. Pir0San Posted June 23, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted June 23, 2006 my 240Z had the fiberglass headlight buckets, but I figured that if I can get the metal ones for cheap, I might as well get them. I think they will still work, but will take some small mods. Arne Posted June 23, 2006 Share #5 Posted June 23, 2006 Lower valence is completely different. No turn signals below the bumper on the 280Z, and the valance itself is deeper to cover the larger 280Z radiator. I thought it was but wasn't totally sure. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/20528-280z-body-parts-on-a-240z/#findComment-172109 Share on other sites

agemeansnothing Posted June 23, 2006 Share #8 Posted June 23, 2006 Speaking of different parts on different cars since 280Z are heavier I am puting on 260Z bumbers. I think the front valance should work but, I am not certain. Pir0San Posted June 24, 2006 Author Share #9 Posted June 24, 2006 I got all of my pieces, in brand new condition, minus the valence, for $106. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/20528-280z-body-parts-on-a-240z/#findComment-172189 Share on other sites
