Hi everyone, my name is D.J. and I'm 19 years old. I just recently picked up a 1971 240Z. I've actually wanted a Z for quite a few years now and every time I was about to get one something seemed to go wrong so I'm extremely happy now that I finally got my hands on one. I'm new to the old school Z world but I've been a Nissan/Datsun fanatic for a few years now. My first car was a 1992 240SX which I still own and plan on making a full-time road course car. The Z I'd like to restore and turn it into a gorgeous (and fast) daily driver...that is of course once I graduate from college and pay off my student loans.

Personally, I think it's great. I was 7 when mine was built, and there is nothing like having a car with the character that comes with age.

Welcome to the club and please post some pictures.

Yeah I've thought about it and I love the fact that it has a history that extends far beyond mine. The previous owner used to take it for pleasure cruises through Yosemite every now and then, it's nice to know that the car has passed from one Z enthusiast to another. I'll try to get some pics up once the rear suspension is done, only thing holding me up is those damn spindle pins, my dad just ordered a shop press though so hopefully it will be enough to get them out.

Actually I guess I don't have to wait for the suspension, I found a pic my dad took when I first drove it home, crappy picture but oh well...

That's my newly acquired 1971 240Z next to my 1992 240SX, both white, nice theme I got going huh?

I had a 71 when I was 18, of course it was pretty new on the scene at that time. I always regretted selling it, so I got a 77 last year - I can't drive it enough. Go stock, these are great cars right off the shelf.

Enjoy!!!
