280ZX bits into a 240Z

Got a line on a 81 280ZX. I know I can use the L28, 5 speed, R200, brake booster, rear disk brake setup.

Is the tank any bigger? And more importantly..will it fit?

What else is good to swap into a 240?

But I have to ask why? Does it have a larger capacity or has the one you have rusted out?

Oh, there were differnt versions [not model]of the ZX so I suspect that like 240-280 there will be many interchangable parts but not panels.

Question for our Euro friends, did the 280ZX appear in Europe?

I know the V8 guys use the ZX tanks because they hold more gas! They can be made to work but I don't know how it is done. I bet there are novels on this at www.hybridz.org.

If you don't find any info I can ask a local guy at the next Z onwers of No. Cal. meeting. He is building a '73 240z with V8 from IROC Camero and I know he is planning to use a ZX tank but he is not on line!
