ya sure the odometer hasnt rolled over and is at 132,000 ???

If you're asking me, I have no idea.....yet. Plan to go look at it before auction ends on Sunday I believe.

Owner states is was owned by a UP railroad guy who swears its original mileage.

We'll see.

Here's another decent 70 up for bid. Vin#2517, white/blue color combo, 8-track, rear cargo luggage bar (wrong steering wheel) and rare throttle control.

Interesting to see the original metal radiator fan still on it.

What is that blue cylinder on the passenger side of the engine?

Radio is not original but that's small potatoes.

Nice car---too bad I have so many irons in the fire already.

Hope somebody on CZC gets it and keeps us informed of it's progress.

Moonpup--

I totally agree about the radio----8 track---audio fossil appears in the MP3 reality of the present! :alien:

A guy might have to go to the pawn shop and find a "Johnny Rivers Greatest Hits" tape (7th Son, Maybelline, Memphis, Tracks of My Tears)

Takes a feller back, it does!! :smoke:

Ahemm---what's that blue cylinder on the passenger side of the engine compartment?

I'll bet it ain't NO2! But I've never seen it before. :cross-eye

My bro is a serious ludite and loves collecting old 70's stuff. Clothes, furniture, decor, music, you name it. He finds most of the stuff at garage sales and thrift stores. And he even dresses 70's style most of the time. Funny thing is he looks good in the stuff. One of his most interesting habits is hording 8 track players and tapes of all shapes and sizes. Remember Dyyynooomite! He's got some really cool tapes and a working factory original 8-track player in his 72' Monte Carlo. Can you say Yeah Baby!

BTW, he was stoked when I bought the Z. He looked right at home in the passenger seat on the way back from the PO's house. :)

Is it just me or does somebody need to teach people how to properly post their cars on ebay? Please pardon the frustration, but this latest 70 is a great example. Mike wants a decent price, $8,000, but he markets it like a $2000 beater.

We all know the critical areas of Z's, but does Mike show us any. Nooooooo! No dog legs, rocker panels, rear hatch area close-ups, underneath shots, floor boards, etc. And he's billing this as an original car, so no shots of the data plate or engine stamping to show matching numbers. Any documentation for the 32,000 original miles, nope. Any paper work with the car, nope. Shots of the engine, barely.

I'll take a risk here and predict the bidding will peter out before he gets to $8000 (that is unless he's sending pics privately) and then Mike will wonder why he didn't get his asking price. Poor marketing!!! This happens all the time on ebay and doesn't help the appreciation of our cars at all. We need to help these guys!!

GEEEEEEEEEZZZZZ!

Ok, I think I'm over my rant for now. Thanks for listening!

Bob

I've got questions also.

Blue tank looks to be a coolant recovery system...just guessing.

Look at these two pictures.

1) Red cable coming out of fender. What is that?

2) Black hose appears to be plumbed right into top radiator tank.
