An advertising agency, representing Nissan, is currently looking for vanity Zcar license plates. They are putting together some kind of ad or campaign for the new 350z.

This might be a good idea, even if you don't like the 350z, because it will carry the 'spirit' of the Zcar on to the future generation of Z owners. If you have a vanity plate and live in the following states, give them a call. ( let all of us know the details if you find out )

Idaho, Nevada, Kentucky, South Carolina, Oregon, and New Mexico.

The club isn't part of the venture, but, make sure you tell them where you got the information. Maybe we can get some kind of sponsorship for our efforts. Are you listening, Taryn? (we are a free club)

Anyway, here's a copy of the message from Taryn:

Hello,

I work at TBWA\Chiat\Day Advertising Agency in Los Angeles, CA. We handle the Nissan account. There is a project coming up for the Nissan 350 Z, and we’re looking for existing personal Z plates to use for this. The plates have to be registered, and the owner must be willing to either send us the plates or drive their car here for photos. We will compensate for any inconvenience.

We would like any information or contacts that you might have that could be of assistance. The shoot is planned for the week of July 8th, but we’ll need the plates by this Wednesday (7/3), so please respond as soon as possible. We need plates from these states: Idaho, Nevada, Kentucky, South Carolina, Oregon, and New Mexico.

Sorry this is last minute, thanks for your help!

Only problem I can see with this campaign is the fact that someone has to either drive down to their location (some of the states listed are pretty far away) or send the plates via mail or UPS.

So, you're looking at a long drive, or, you can drive w/out plates on your car for a month. Hmmm... :stupid:

Maybe it would be better to accept images and set some kind of specifications on the image size and quality before hand.
