Greetings all. I picked myself up a '71 240z not too long ago and couldn't be any happier with it. It's got triple Mikuni's, 6-2-1 header, and some kind of body kit on it as of right now (that's how I bought it). The L24 was also rebuilt about a year ago, still trying to find out the exact specs of the rebuild. I believe, but am not certain that it has an aftermarket cam in it as well, as the idle is a bit choppy but it SCREAMS above ~4500 rpm. I've always wanted a Z, and am still in shock that one this clean fell into my lap, in Alaska of all places. I also own 3 other Nissans, an '87 Pulsar XE, a boosted B13 ('92) Sentra SE-R, and a '93 240sx. The Pulsar and Sentra are on the market right now to provide some extra funding to the Z restore and build. When I return home (NC) in a few months it'll be getting a complete restore along with some suspension and drivetrain work, just haven't decided on the powerplant yet. Pics can be seen here:

Welcome... Looks like you found a good one! You will find if you haven't already all kinds of great information here on this sight. The search tab is "where it is at". So start digging down into your pockets....I hope they are deep and start building your dream machine.

Marc, looks like a good find, even in the wilds of AK. As Jack said, once you start to get into it, you will find a lot of hidden "goodies"(read rust). But thats just part of the love. Clean it up(looks good now) fire it up and have fun before you tear it apart. Where are you moving to in NC, lot of good Z guys down here to help you get going

Yeah I still can't really believe that I found it up here, and got it for $2500. From what I've been able to see so far there is VERY little rust on it. I'll be moving to Iron Station, NC, just north of Charlotte. I'm currently Active Duty Air Force, but I separate in December. As for the screen name, its a nickname I picked up a while back, and I can't even remember how. It just kinda stuck.

Thanks for all the kind words fellas. I'll definately track down some of you Carolina locals when I get home, I love having geek outs and team wrenching days. Something about burgers, beer, and fellow enthusiasts that I really enjoy.
