Midnight-280Z Posted September 26, 2006 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2006 Does anyone know where I can find Watanabe RS 15X8 or 15X7 (Drool)? i would really like the one pictured here with the same size.http://www.houston-imports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136284 I am located in California. I can't find a dealer or the rims anywhere. A while back I heard of these set going for about 5-700 for the 15X7. I am in love with these...Can someone point me in the right direction before I end up buying Sport Max 01 15X8? Victor Laury Posted September 26, 2006 Share #3 Posted September 26, 2006 Mas (Takumi Project) has a barely used set of 15X8 @0 R types at a great price right now. Do me the big favor and BUY them before I give in to my wheel whore urges. dk240z Posted September 26, 2006 Share #5 Posted September 26, 2006 Hey Victor: Are these your ARE Lemans Wheels? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/21701-help-finding-watanabe-15x8-or-15x7/#findComment-183792 Share on other sites
Victor Laury Posted September 27, 2006 Share #6 Posted September 27, 2006 Not Mine. Never had a set, Wouldn't turn down a set, But I'm more interested in vintage JDM alloy. What I'd get goosy for would be a set of Empi magnesium 2 piece circa 1967. About as tough to find as those ARE Le Mans wheels, but more period correct for the roadster. Somewhere there's a photo of the JPGP roadster (67? 68?) wearing the Empi's Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/21701-help-finding-watanabe-15x8-or-15x7/#findComment-183795 Share on other sites

Montezuma Posted September 27, 2006 Share #11 Posted September 27, 2006 Wow...$1900...I got my 15X6.5s for $500 with center caps painted a dark gunmetal color...I guess my friend really did give me a very good deal. Mine are over 20 years old but don't have a single curb nick on them. I do like the the Yoko casings, 195-60-15s are a little small for a Z. S30TRBO Posted September 27, 2006 Share #12 Posted September 27, 2006 Also check WheelChoice ask for Joji. This is where I got my 16's brand new built at RS-Watanabe plant. I had to wait a few months but they are well worth the wait. See below.
