TomoHawk Posted October 1, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2006 On a 280Z-I accidentally pulled the glove box door support out when I leaned on the glove box door to get something out. Is that normal? You have to unscrew it and stick it back in the hole, then reattach if it pulls out. It would be better if the thing didn't pill out so easily when you reach in to get something.thx Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/21772-glove-box-door-support/ Share on other sites
sblake01 Posted October 1, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 1, 2006 That's pretty much normal. It's fairly thin material and the pressure makes it flex and pull out. I guess that's better than having it break the plastic opening that stops it. TomoHawk Posted October 1, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted October 1, 2006 You could put a pin through the arm to prevent it from pulling out, but you'd have to get in behind things. Another idea would be to add another piece of metal to the arm to make a T on the end, so it would hold. That would require you to attach the two arms back to back somehow. GOOP comes to mind.
